Diesel Generator Radiator Emergency Maintenance

1. Radiator upper and lower tanks maintenance

Before repairing, clean the leaking parts, and then use a metal brush or scraper to completely remove the metal paint and rust, and then repair it with solder. If there is a large area of leakage at the fixing screws of the upper and lower water tanks, the upper and lower tanks can be removed, and then two new ones can be installed. Before assembling, apply adhesive or sealant on the top and bottom of the gasket, and then fix it with screws.

2. Radiator tubes maintenance

If the outer water pipe of the radiator is slightly damaged, it can generally be repaired by soldering. If the damage is large, needle-nose pliers can be used to clamp the pipe heads on both sides of the damaged tubes to prevent leakage. However, the blocked numbers should not be too many; otherwise, it will affect the heat dissipation effect of the radiator. If the internal tubes are damaged, the upper and lower tanks should be removed, and then the water supply pipes should be replaced or welded. After the assembly is completed, the radiator should be rechecked for water leakage.
